Jefferson Township administration includes the Township Administrator, Fiscal Administrative Assistant and Township Administrative Assistant. The Jefferson Township Fire Department is devoted to the protection of our community through a culture of safety and dedication. The fire staff responds to calls for assistance in two medic units, one fire engine, one grass fire unit, the Battalion Chief’s car, and the Fire Chief’s car. Responding fire equipment is stocked with advanced life support equipment, and all vehicles are equipped with automatic external defibrillators (AEDs).  Learn More >
Jefferson Township parks are the responsibility of both the administration and service departments. The township owns and maintains four parks, Blacklick Ridge on Blacklick Ridge Blvd, Jefferson Community on Clark State Road, Jefferson Run on Climbing Fig Drive, Olde Quarry on Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road, and Boehnke Nature Preserve on Clark State Road, opening spring 2017. In addition to performing maintenance and landscaping, township staff also schedules facility rentals, organizes community events and plans for the future development and use of parkland. The service department currently maintains 46.955 miles of roads in the township, which consists of snow removal, road repairs, maintaining gravel berms, storm water drainage, road signage, guardrail systems, trimming of trees, cleanup of fallen trees, litter, bulk trash and dead animal removal from road right-of-ways, mowing of roadside, etc. In addition, the department maintains township owned buildings and open spaces including four parks and five cemeteries. Two of the cemeteries are still active and the Service Department is responsible for opening and closing of graves. Learn More >
The zoning and building department responsibilities include: performing inspections, receiving and reviewing applications for compliance with the zoning resolution, following up on zoning violations, and working closely with the Zoning Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals on the cases they hear. Learn More >
