Free and easy-to-use prescription cards are now available at the Township office, 6545 Havens Rd. Users can save an average of 20 percent on prescriptions that are not covered by their insurance.
The Franklin County prescription discount card is accepted at pharmacies nationwide under a program brought about by the Franklin County Commissioners through the National Association of Counties.
The card works like any other discount card. When you present the card, you will receive the lowest price available. Although prices vary by location, you can obtain an estimate of the discount price along with pharmacy participation and other information by calling toll free 1-877-321-2652 or visiting the website at https://naco.advancerx.com.
There are no enrollment forms and no age requirements and the entire family is covered. Even many pet medications are covered.
The discount card generally cannot be used for over-the-counter or non-prescription items, but discounts are available for many diabetic supplies, so it’s best to ask.
