Waste Management Service Changes
New collection schedules begin the week of October 19
While our community has grown over the past several years, Waste Management has retained the same collection routes in Jefferson Township since 2013. The increased volume and number of stops has strained resources and led to service delays and interruptions. In order to ensure Waste Management can provide the most effective and reliable trash, recycling, and yard waste collection for all of Jefferson Township, several route changes will begin this month. Every home will receive or has already received a postcard in the mail from Waste Management detailing which changes, if any, will be introduced.
The frequency of collections will not change, but the collection day for some areas will be moving to Wednesday effective the week of October 19, 2020. As part of the transition, the yard waste and recycling collection weeks for some homes will be changed.
