Ken Jones - Fiscal Officer

Ken has served the Township since 2004 when he was appointed to fill an unexpired term. He was elected to the position in 2005 and re-elected in 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019. Ken is an experienced financial professional, having served as a PriceWaterhouse/Coopers auditor and as a chief financial officer in the private sector. He has been a Certified Public Accountant (now inactive) since 1982. He retired as a full-time CFO in the business world in 2001, but keeps active as a board member of Middlefield Banking Company. His wife Melanie is a retired attorney, and paints water colors. The couple enjoys traveling and family events.

In 2015, Jefferson Township became one of the first local governments to sign up for OhioCheckbook.com -- a first-of-its-kind website from the State Treasurer that shows taxpayers exactly how their tax dollars are being spent. The site complies Jefferson Township's spending information into a database that will allow taxpayers to search by category, vendor, time period, etc., as well as view graphs, charts, and comparisons.
