Collection days are Tuesdays. Trash is picked up every week. Recycling and yard waste are picked up on alternating weeks. Residents living between Hamilton Road and the west side of Reynoldsburg-New Albany Road follow one pickup schedule; residents living on the east side of Reynoldsburg-Albany Road and the Licking County line follow another schedule. The rate for trash, recycling, and yard waste collection is currently $15.99 per month through September 30, 2021. Households are billed on a quarterly basis by Waste Management.
Yes! With prior scheduling, Waste Management will pickup bulk items at no extra charge. To schedule your bulk pickup call WM at 866-797-9018 or email at CustomerService_MIOHIN@wm.com

From January 1 - December 31, 2019 regular trustee meetings are on the second Wednesday of the month at 3 p.m. and the fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 p.m., unless otherwise rescheduled or canceled. Check the Township Calendar for up-to-date information.

Absolutely! Jefferson Township offers four shelters for public rental. The Maple Leaf at Jefferson Community Park (seats up to 100), the Trillium at Jefferson Community Park (seats up to 24), a large shelter house at Olde Quarry Park (seats up to 64), and a large shelter at Jefferson Run Park (seats up to 80, and is only available during the summer months). Overnight camping in Jefferson Township parks is only permitted for non-profit organizations (e.g. Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts), and only at Jefferson Community Park. The township officials consist of three trustees and a township fiscal officer who are elected to four-year staggered terms. One trustee and the fiscal officer are elected in one odd-numbered year, and the two remaining trustees are elected two years later. The last trustee election was November of 2017.
In some cases. If the Service Superintendent determines that the damage was the result of the township’s operations involving direct contact with a Township vehicle, the mailbox will be repaired or replaced by the township. However, if the superintendent determines that the facts do not clearly indicate the damage was the result of direct contact with a Township vehicle, no further action will be taken and the repair/replacement shall be the responsibility of the property owner(s).
