Administration Office Open

The Jefferson Township Administration Office at 6545 Havens Road is open for in-person visits. Masks are required. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Thursday, and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Many staff are working a hybrid at-home in-office schedule, please consider contacting us via phone or email, or requesting a virtual meeting before visiting in-person. 

Board of Trustees

Board of Trustees Meetings: 

The authority granted by Ohio House Bill 404 to hold Board and Commission meetings virtually expired July 1, 2021. All meetings of the Board of Trustees, Board of Zoning Appeals, Zoning Commission, and Parks Board will be returning to an in-person format beginning in July. Social distancing protocols will be in place and masks are currently required for all attendees. Most meetings will be held at the Jefferson Township Fire Station, 6767 Havens Corners Road, but please refer to our calendar for updated information.

Fire & EMS

The Jefferson Township Fire Department continues to respond to the needs of our residents and businesses throughout the duration of this pandemic. To protect the health of our first responders, we ask all visitors to the fire station to wear a mask. Our personnel can be reached via phone and email at (614) 861-3757 or yourjtfd@jeffersontownship.org. As always, in an emergency dial 9-1-1. 

Parks

Jefferson Township parks, restrooms, shelters, and playgrounds are open.

Shelter house rentals are currently being accepted for 2021 on Saturdays and Sundays from June 2 through September 19. To begin your reservation process, please email Administrative Assistant Janis Bowling at jbowling@jeffersontownship.org with your first (and optionally second) choice date and time. Reservations are available in two time slots: 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. 

We ask all park visitors to keep each other safe by maintaining six feet of social distancing, wearing masks when social distancing isn't possible, and maintaining good hand hygiene. Playground equipment and other high touch surfaces will not be sanitized regularly, therefore user discretion is advised.

Service Department

The Jefferson Township Service Department continues to report to work to maintain roadways, drainage systems, parks, and cemeteries. Questions or concerns? Please CLICK HERE to submit an online service ticket. 

Zoning and Building

Applications: The Zoning and Building Department is open to in-person visits, however we encourage contacting staff by phone or email before visiting in person. Masks are required for visitors at Township Hall. All Residential Zoning Permit Applications, Right-of-Way Excavation Permits, and Applications to the Board of Zoning Appeals and Zoning Commission can be completed through the Jefferson Township Zoning and Building Portal. Email cmccroskey@jeffesontownship.org to request a Commercial Building Permit Application.

Inspections: 
Residential and commercial zoning inspections and commercial building inspections will be conducted Monday-Thursday. Request a residential zoning inspection through the Portal or by emailing mhandley@jeffersontownship.org. Request a commercial building inspection by emailing cmccroskey@jeffersontownship.org.
